Happy with my new vest

Got the Freetrain V2 a couple weeks ago for my morning runs. It came pretty fast, like four days after I ordered it. Fits my phone perfectly and it doesn't bounce around, which is awesome. Super comfy too, I barely even notice it's on. Definitely makes running with my phone way less annoying. I'm glad I finally got one.

Freetrain V2 is fantastic!

The Freetrain V2 is absolutely brilliant! I've been looking for a running vest that actually holds my phone without it bouncing everywhere, and this one does the trick. It's so comfortable I forget I'm even wearing it. My phone fits snugly, and there's room for my keys too. I took it out for a 10k, and it performed perfectly. I'm definitely going to buy another one, maybe for a gift! I recommend it to everyone who runs!

V2 vest is well designed

I ordered the Freetrain V2 running vest after seeing some good reviews online, and I must say it lives up to the hype for the most part. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I found what I needed easily. Shipping was fairly quick, arriving within five business days, which was what they estimated. I had a quick question about sizing before I bought, so I used their chat support, and the response was helpful and fast. The vest itself is excellent quality. The materials feel durable, and the phone pocket securely held my rather large smartphone without any bouncing during my runs. The reflective elements are a nice touch for evening jogs. My only minor observation is that the main pocket could be just a tiny bit larger to comfortably fit a small set of keys plus a gel, but it's not a deal-breaker. Overall, a solid product that performs as advertised.

Good vest, slow delivery

I purchased the Freetrain V1 vest for my runs. The vest itself is quite good, very comfortable and holds my phone securely without any issues. It feels well-made. However, the delivery took longer than I expected. It was about eight days from order to arrival. I understand shipping times vary, but it felt a bit slow compared to other online stores I use. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the delay, which was a positive. Value-wise, it's a bit pricey, but the quality seems to justify it. I wish they had faster shipping options, even if it cost a little extra.

Hey guys, wondering about the V2 vest. Is it actually waterproof for real, or just like, splash-proof? Thinking about getting it for rainy runs.

J Josh Marsh 2 months ago
It's more like highly water resistant, not fully submersible waterproof. My phone stays dry in a downpour but if you jump in a lake with it, probably not.

Mine held up fine during a super wet half marathon. Everything inside was dry. I wouldn't call it 'waterproof' like a dry bag, but it's good enough for rain.

What's the return policy like if the vest doesn't fit right? Is it a hassle?

J Jared B. 2 months ago
Returns were pretty straightforward for me. Just followed the instructions on their site, mailed it back, and got my refund. No big drama.

I returned a pair of socks once, it was fine. As long as it's unworn and within the return window, you should be good.

Are the Freetrain vests good for marathons? Like, comfortable for 4+ hours of running without chafing?

T Todd 2 months ago
Absolutely. I've used my V2 for two full marathons and it was super comfy. No bounce, no chafing issues at all. Just make sure you adjust it properly.

They are designed for that! The V2 is really popular for long distance. The way it sits on your chest helps a lot with comfort over time.

thinking about getting the V2 or maybe a FlipBelt. Any thoughts on Freetrain vs FlipBelt for running with your phone?

C Cleo 2 months ago
Totally different experience. Freetrain vests keep your phone front and center, super easy access. FlipBelt is more around your waist, can be good but accessing your phone is harder. Depends on what you prefer.

Freetrain is way better for quick phone access and stability. FlipBelt can bounce a bit more if you have a heavy phone. Freetrain is also better for carrying more stuff, like hydration.

shipping to Los Angeles, how long does that usually take? Need it by next weekend for a race.

S Sophie E. 2 months ago
From my experience, usually about 5-7 business days for standard shipping to California. You might want to spring for expedited if you need it that fast.

I got mine in about 6 days to NorCal. You could try checking their shipping policy on the site, sometimes they have more specific estimates.
